Stage Three End and Stage Four Start of the Electrek American Solar Challenge 2026. The Electrek American Solar Challenge is a collegiate student design competitions. Teams from around the world design and build solar-powered vehicles to compete in the ultimate test of efficiency, endurance, strategy, and teamwork. This year, the solar cars will travel through 8 states from Minneapolis, MN to Amarillo, TX. Cheer them on as they make their cross-country trek! Solar cars will reach the Stage Three End in Elk City (National Route 66 Museum) between 11:30AM and 6:00PM on July 31st. Teams will have evening charging from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. The cars will depart for Stage Four the following morning (August 1st) at 9:00AM. Event is free to attend and open to all!
